Good evening, everyone and, welcome once again to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida and, welcome to Backlash! Tonight, Five championships are on the line, as well as what has been hyped, and billed, as the “Greatest Wrestling Match Ever”, between Randy Orton and Edge. So, without any further ado, let’s get started!

1) Andrade (w/ Angel Garza and Zelina Vega) vs. Apollo Crews (w/ Kevin Owens): WWE United States Championship. Winner and STILL United States Champion: Apollo Crews!

2) Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross vs. The IIconics (Peyton Royce and Billie Kaye) vs. Sasha Banks and Bayley: WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. Winners and STILL WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions: Sasha Banks and Bayley!

6) Bobby Lashley (w/ MVP and Lana) vs. Drew McIntyre: WWE Championship. Winner and STILL WWE Champion: Drew McIntyre!

7) Randy Orton vs. Edge: “The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever”. Winner: Randy Orton!

Tonight, I felt the matches were pretty decent. Even the time killing skit with the Viking Raiders and Street Profits was actually funny. At least in my opinion. No championships changed hands this time around but, that is ok. There is a rumor that the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships will be spending time at NXT, so we shall see.  There’s not much to say about the other matches themselves. They were exciting. Although, I would’ve liked to see a real ending to the Jax/Asuka match, instead of a double count-out but, it is what it is.

The Lashley/McIntyre match was amazing from the get go. I hope to see McIntyre go up against Orton at some point, and maybe see Lashley get another shot at the championship again, just hope it isn’t in another 13 years.  Now, speaking of Orton, the Orton/Edge match last night. What can I say, but wow! The tribute to Howard Finkle by way of introducing the two, was a nice touch. The match itself was a good long match. And, both guys used everything in their arsenal, or just about, to win. Saw “The Unprettier”, from Christian, and “The Rock Bottom, from The Rock, used by Edge to try and beat Orton, while Orton “The Pedigree”, from Triple H, to do the same to Edge. It was amazing! Unfortunately, Orton went to that dark place, and decided to play a little football in order to win. Was it an amazing match? Yes. Was it “The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever”? I don’t know, but, it certainly is up there.

That being said, its time to start looking to the extreme, as the next event will be “Extreme Rules”, on July 19th. Hopefully, things will slowly start to get back to normal, and start seeing new locations. See you all then!
