WWE Wrestlemania 36 Results (SPOILERS)

Hello everyone, and welcome to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida! With what is going on in the world right now, the WWE had to move Wrestlemania from Tampa, to Orlando. This is something odd, as there will be no crowd involved. Other than the announcers, there are going to be no “boos”, no cheers. So, with that in mind, lets see what is on tap for not only tonight, but on Sunday as well, as Wrestlemania is just “too big for one night”! Your host for both nights is 3-time Super Bowl Champion: Rob Gronkowski! There are ten championships on the line tonight, a last man standing match, a boneyard match and a “Firefly Funhouse” match. So, let’s not waste any more time, shall we?

Wrestlemania 36, Part 1:

  1. Drew Gulak vs. Cesaro. Winner: Cesaro!
  2. Bliss Cross (Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross) vs. Kabuki Warriors (Kairi Sane and Asuka): WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. Winners and NEW WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions: Bliss Cross!
  3. “King” Corbin vs. Elias. Winner: Elias!
  4. Shayna Baszler vs. “The Man” Becky Lynch: Raw Women’s Championship. Winner and STILL Raw Women’s Champion: “The Man” Becky Lynch!
  5. Daniel Bryan (w/ Drew Gulak) vs. Sami Zayn (w/ Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura): WWE Intercontinental Championship. Winner and STILL Intercontinental Champion: Sami Zayn!
  6. Kofi Kingston vs. Jimmy Uso vs. John Morrison: Triple Threat Ladder Match for the WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championships. Winner and STILL Smackdown Tag Team Champion: John Morrison!
  7. Seth Rollins vs. Kevin Owens: No Disqualification Match. Winner: Kevin Owens!
  8. R-Truth vs. Mojo Rawley vs. Rob Gronkowski: WWE 24/7 Championship. Winner and NEW 24/7 Champion: Mojo Rawley!
  9. Braun Strowman vs. Goldberg: WWE Universal Championship. Winner and NEW Universal Champion: Braun Strowman!
  10. AJ Styles (w/ Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows) vs. The Undertaker: Boneyard Match. Winner: The Undertaker!

That’s it for Part 1! My thoughts: Having the Smackdown Tag Team Championship Match in the way that it was is interesting to say the least. It’s not the first time the Tag Team Championships were defended solo. But, the reason why this time was I guess The Miz was sick, so why not.  The Strowman/Goldberg match could’ve gone better. Or, at the least longer. The original plan was for Roman Reigns to face Goldberg but, because of Roman being immunocompromised due to his battles with cancer, Roman asked to stay home. The Boneyard Match was interesting. It was cool to see “The American Badass” Undertaker again. I hope this isn’t the last time we see him. Undertaker reappears

As for the first night with no crowd. I will say that it is a welcome distraction, and give the WWE credit for it. I will say this though, the crowd definitely makes the shows. More thoughts after Part 2…

Wrestlemania 36 Part 2:

  1. Liv Morgan vs. Natalya. Winner: Liv Morgan!
  2. Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley: NXT Women’s Championship. Winner and NEW NXT Women’s Champion: Charlotte Flair!
  3. Aleister Black vs. Bobby Lashley (w/ Lana). Winner: Aleister Black!
  4. Otis (w/ Mandy Rose) vs. Dolph Ziggler (w/ Sonya Deville). Winner: Otis!
  5. Edge vs. Randy Orton: Last Man Standing Match. Winner: Edge!
  6. Mojo Rawley vs. Rob Gronkowski vs. various wrestlers: WWE 24/7 Championship. Winner and NEW 24/7 Champion: Rob Gronkowski!
  7. Austin Theory and Angel Garza (w/ Zelina Vega) vs. The Street Profits (Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins (w/ Bianca Belair)): WWE Raw Tag Team Championshps. Winners and STILL Raw Tag Team Champions: The Street Profits!
  8. Sasha Banks vs. Lacey Evans vs. Tamina vs. Naomi vs. Bayley: Fatal- Five- Way Elimination Match for the WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship. Winner and STILL Smackdown Women’s Champion: Bayley!
  9. John Cena vs. “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt: Firefly Funhouse Match. Winner: “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt!
  10. Drew McIntyre vs. Brock Lesnar (w/ Paul Heyman): WWE Championship. Winner and NEW WWE Champion: Drew McIntyre!

And that’s it for Part 2, and for the event as a whole. First, Part 2 thoughts: Still a bit odd without a crowd being there. However, this is going to be the new normal for a bit.  The Funhouse match was really bizarre, and I’m not sure what to  make of it. Although, using Cena’s own words against him was a bit poetic, I guess? Again, the WWE Championship match was too short. But, I’m glad McIntyre won it. He deserved it.  The best match of the night was the Last Man Standing Match between Edge and Orton.  Seeing Edge win, was the cherry on top, even if it pained him to do what he did.

Overall, the two nights were pretty good. Some highs and lows. Makes me wonder what it would’ve been like, had it been in Tampa, as originally scheduled. As I said before, the crowd really makes all the shows. I don’t know if the WWE should continue taping their major events, but I gotta hand it to them in that no spoilers were leaked, other than a few things. Like, Roman backing out on account of his health.

Now, the next major event for the WWE is supposed to be on  May 10th.. “Money in the Bank”. However, with the way things are, who knows if it will take place. In the meantime, please everyone, stay safe and be well.  Take care til next time.
