What’s Going On Makes List, Checks It Twice, And Holy Cow Are There A Lot Of People On It

Guy calls Connor Cook best Big Ten QB ever, is moron
On New Year’s Eve, this happened:
Then, this happened:
Michigan State scored as many points as I did and I was sitting on my couch in Chicagoland. (By the way, Little Brother, that’s what couches are for: sitting on. Not burning.)
I was going to come up with some witty reply to this clown, but it would probably just go over his head anyway, so instead, here’s just a list of Big Ten QBs (since 1956, because that’s how far back sports-reference.com goes) better than Connor Cook:
Drew Brees, Purdue
Kyle Orton, Purdue
Mike Phipps, Purdue
Bob Griese, Purdue
Dan Persa, Northwestern
Chuck Long, Iowa
Drew Tate, Iowa
Kirk Cousins, Little Brother
Antwaan Randle-El, Indiana
Nate Sudfeld, Indiana
Russell Wilson, Wisconsin
Troy Smith, Ohio
Terrelle Pryor, Ohio
Braxton Miller, Ohio
J.T. Barrett, Ohio
Chad Henne, Michigan
Denard Robinson, Michigan
John Navarre, Michigan
Brian Griese, Michigan
Elvis Grbac, Michigan
Jim Harbaugh, Michigan
Tom Brady, Michigan
Do they all have the high-profile wins that Cook does? No. Do I care? No. Because the ones that didn’t didn’t have the same talent around them that Cook does. You can bring big wins into the argument when you’re talking about NFL QBs; the talent levels among teams are pretty close. Not so in college.
A rebuttal to Shayne’s Packers blog
Shayne wrote this here about this Packers season. Yeah, he’s complaining about a team that currently has 10 wins and has clinched a playoff berth.
This has been one of the most frustrating years of being a Packers fan I can ever remember. I know that sounds really weird and some people probably think I sound like a whiny bitch considering my team is 10-5 and heading to the playoffs…
Why, yes, yes, we do. Prentiss is a 49ers fan, Qwan’s a Lions fan, Mike’s a Bears fan, and I follow the Bears and Bucs. We would all love 10-win seasons and playoff berths. The highlight of last season for the Bears was firing the coach and for the Bucs, it was a loss in the last game of the year to secure the #1 overall draft pick. This year, for the Bears, it was winning in Lambeau on Thanksgiving, and for the Bucs, it was, uh… I guess blowing out the Eagles was kinda fun. Became a little less fun the next week, when the Lions did it too. Those are both steps in the right direction, but we’d all trade highlights like those to be in the position the Packers are in now.
Where’s security when you need them?
So, by now, I’m sure everybody’s seen this putz.
Seriously, once it was clear that this buffoon wasn’t going to stop yelling, why did nobody remove him from there? Why was he allowed to continue making a fool of himself and disrupting McCaffrey’s interview. And, dude, we get it, you think McCaffrey should have won the Heisman. (It should be noted that he’s wrong for thinking that.) At least the guy who yells Baba Booey is somewhat funny.
