Michigan 31, BYU Bubkes – Rapid Reaction
- Updated: September 26, 2015
BYU should consider themselves lucky that this game was only 31-0. Harbaugh, for the second straight week, seemed perfectly content running clock for an entire half. That is a perfectly acceptable decision when you spent the first half scoring at will and the defense is dominating.
The defense held BYU to 105 total yards, less than De’Veon Smith had on the day. The line had another spectacular game, the secondary continues to improve, and the defense as a whole is now allowing 7.75 ppg. And even though Mangum is BYU’s backup, this is still a good BYU offense; they lost by just 1 to UCLA in Los Angeles last week.
The offense had a spectacular first half and then ran clock. Rudock was better, but still not great. The running game, though, was great. It’s worth noting that starting NT Travis Tuiloma was also injured, but still, a remarkable performance by the Wolverines.
