It’s Obvious: OKC Is Home
- Updated: May 18, 2016
Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals is in the books, and after a 108-102 victory over the defending champs, it’s clear that Oklahoma City is the home of Kevin Durant.
He won’t be staying because of the outstanding work from the local barbers.
I can’t see him losing because Lil B the Based Gawd has him under his curse.
KD will continue to be a resident of Oklahoma City because of Russell Westbrook.
The 3rd quarter of the game last night almost brought me to tears as I watched Russ go into Gawd Mode. He missed nine of his first 10 shots before Jesus resurrected inside of him in the 3rd to score 19 of his team’s 38 points in the quarter. His steal from Draymond, driving the length of the court, and trying to break the backboard changed the momentum for the rest of the game.
It’s clear that KD won’t find a better running mate. He won’t find a teammate that can overshadow his shortcomings in the critical moments in the game like Russell Westbrook does. He needs a guy to go in Oracle Arena and win a game that nobody else has been able to.
Free agency is cool and all, the wining and dining from these rich people who want you bad must be great, but home is where the heart is.
OKC with your brother Russ is home.
