Road to Rio: Usain Bolt
- Updated: May 17, 2016
Fresh off the Cayman Invitation on May 14, 2016, Usain Bolt is bothered by a pesky hamstring. Winning the 100m in a comfortable 10.09, Bolt mentioned that he was happy to finish injury free, and a tad bothered that he hadn’t ran at least at 9.91 as he had wagered he would with friends shortly before the race.
Check out the race above.
With three months until the Rio Olympics, Bolt will have his next tune-up race in the Czech Republic on May 20. We will follow Usain on his Road to Rio so be looking out for light commentary as the legend prepares for his swan song in the 2016 Olympic Games. We’ll also mention some of his competitors in the coming weeks such as countryman Yohan Blake and Americans Justin Gatlin and Tyson Gay as well as others who run respectable times in Bolt’s events.
