I’ve developed a theory that the more difficult a save is, the more likely Crawford is to make it. Crawford needed to make a ton of ten-bell saves tonight for the Hawks to win this game and did so, so thanks for making it tough on him, Montreal. The Canadiens controlled the action for most of the game, but the Hawks’ defense and goaltending held them to one goal. The one the Canadiens did score was just bad luck for the Hawks. A shot bounced off Crawford right into Byron and then into the net.
My picks for 3 stars:
★★★ Jonathan Toews, C, CHI (1 G)
★★ Andrew Shaw, F, CHI (1 A)
★ Corey Crawford, G, CHI (38 SV, 1 GA)
