Give Marc-Andre Fleury credit for keeping the Penguins in this one. The Hawks controlled the action pretty much from start to finish. In the first, the Hawks outshot the Penguins 15-3. The Penguins had a couple nice chances in the second, scoring on one on the power play, but the Hawks controlled the third and once they regained the lead, didn’t give the Penguins many good looks. Darling had a nice game, though he didn’t face too many tough tests. I’d like to see him in net more.
My picks for 3 stars:
★★★ Marc-Andre Fleury, G, PIT (34 SV, 2 GA)
★★ Scott Darling, G, CHI (17 SV, 1 GA)
★ Artemi Panarin, LW, CHI (2 G (GWG))
