So, that certainly wasn’t the most eventful game, but it’s a win, so that’s cool. The Hawks got a few good looks in an otherwise slow first, but nothing went in. They finally broke through in the second on a slap shot from Keith. Then, more uneventfulness. The Hawks expanded their lead in the third when Anisimov got to the front of the net and wise wide open to bury a rebound off a shot by Rozsival. The Hawks kept Ottawa from getting much going, Crawford made a few great saves in the process (Good Corey showed up tonight), Desjardins scored on a vacated Ottawa net, and the Hawks got two points.
In other news, the Hawks traded LW Jeremy Morin to Toronto for RW Richard Panik.
The 24-year-old Panik has nine goals and 16 assists through 33 games with the AHL’s Toronto Marlies. He has 19G and 20A in 151 NHL games.

It was pretty clear Morin wasn’t going to play in the NHL in Chicago. It seemed like only a matter of time until he got traded, and here it is. As for Panik, this seems like pretty much a lateral move for the Hawks.
My picks for 3 stars:
★★★ Corey Crawford, G, CHI (26 SV, SO)
★★ Andrew Desjardins, F, CHI (1 G, 1 A)
★ Duncan Keith, D, CHI (1 G (GWG))
