Blackhawks 4, Coyotes 0
- Updated: December 7, 2016
The Blackhawks got off to another slow start, but ended up with the lead after the first 20. Artem Anisimov scored off a great pass from Patrick Kane on the power play a little over fifteen-and-a-half minutes into the game. In the second, the Hawks struck twice in nineteen seconds: first Marian Hossa received a pass from Ryan Hartman and beat Mike Smith, then Dennis Rasmussen scored from in close. Hossa would add another goal late in the third and Scott Darling would close out his first shutout that didn’t take place on March 18.
A few things
- A game against the Coyotes was just what the Hawks needed. They weren’t made to pay for their slow start and the power play got going a little bit. They still need to quit waiting for the perfect shot and just get pucks to the net, though.
- Brent Seabrook left the game with an upper-body injury. After the game, Q said the team will know more tomorrow.
- The team is targeting next week’s trip to New York for Jonathan Toews‘ return to the ice.
My picks for 3 stars
★★★ Dennis Rasmussen, F, CHI (1 G)
★★ Marian Hossa, RW, CHI (2 G)
★ Scott Darling, G, CHI (22 SV, SO)
