Blackhawks 5, Penguins 1
- Updated: March 30, 2017
The Blackhawks scored early and often in Pittsburgh; if not for a few big saves by Marc-Andre Fleury, the game could have easily been 7-0 after the first. As it was, it was 4-0, with goals coming from Artemi Panarin off a beautiful pass from Patrick Kane, Richard Panik off one from Nick Schmaltz, Marcus Kruger on a shot meant to ricochet off Fleury’s pad to Kane, who got the 2-on-1 going with another great pass, and then Marian Hossa on a 3-on-1. After a scoreless second, Tanner Kero made it 5-0 a little over three-and-a-half minutes into the third. The Penguins would get one back a couple minutes later, but that’s all they would get as Corey Crawford turned in a gem.
A few things
