To be honest, it feels like the Blackhawks were lucky to win this one. They got outshot, and for a lot of the game, outplayed. After giving up two goals and the lead on a double minor by Hinostroza, the team seemed to wake up a bit. Teräväinen had a couple great passes that set up goals. Kane had a great one to set up Panarin for the GWG and then Panarin finished the hat trick with the empty net. The defense could have been better, but they did seem a bit more aggressive than usual, so that was nice to see. Crawford was okay. He’s still been good, but seems to have cooled off a bit the last couple weeks. Seriously, play Darling more. A fresh Crawford could be a great asset in the playoffs. (See: 2013.)

My picks for 3 stars:

★★★ Kevin Hayes, RW, NYR (1 G, 1 A)

★★ Teuvo Teräväinen, F, CHI (2 A)

★ Artemi Panarin, LW, CHI (3 G (GWG))
