Blackhawks 6, Coyotes 3

It was a weird game. The first period played like neither team had been on the ice in a month, the Blackhawks got their second hat trick in as many games, and Michal Rozsival had the GWG. If anybody saw that coming, please send me Saturday’s Powerball numbers. E-mail’s at the bottom.
The Hawks offense played a great game and after the first period, the defense joined the party. Three goals got by Corey Crawford in that first period, but none were really his fault. After that, he, too, was great. Patrick Kane took advantage of some rather not great play from Mike Smith and found the back of the net tree times for his tird career regular season hat trick (Hey, Pat Foley, how ya doin’?).
A few things
- Vinnie Hinostroza was a healthy scratch in favor of Rozsival, who dressed after Nikals Hjalmarsson was not on the ice for the morning skate. Hjalmarsson left the game in the first and did not return; his status is up in the air at the moment. The silver lining is if he is out for more than a couple days, the Hawks can use the cap space at the trade deadline.
