Predators 2, Blackhawks 1
- Updated: October 27, 2017
Box score (ESPN)
The Blackhawks played a great first period, out-shooting the Predators 21-7. In the second, however, the Predators got the better of the action. The Hawks turned in a very nice third period, but were unable to solve Pekka Rinne. That second period was the difference, with Nashville scoring twice in the period. A bad turnover by Duncan Keith led to Nashville’s first goal and the second came on a power play. The defense and Corey Crawford were solid; the offense just let the team down. In that second period, it was more of what we’ve seen in recent games with the Blackhawks not taking good care of the puck and not getting good looks. The team will look for a better result tomorrow in Colorado.
My picks for 3 stars
★★★ Craig Smith, C, NSH (1 G (GWG))
★★ Corey Crawford, G, CHI (28 SV, 2 GA)
★ Pekka Rinne, G, NSH (43 SV, 1 GA)
