I’m out of ways to say “the team sucked.” During the broadcast, Pat and Eddie actually listed the games like this the Hawks have had this season, and there were quite a few of them. While I’m still confident that the necessary adjustments can be made in the postseason, this slump the Blackhawks have been in has been atrocious. Tonight, luck certainly played a role as the first goal Dallas scored took a bad bounce off of the shaft of Darling’s stick, but after that, it was flat, lackluster play that did the team in. Darling wasn’t great, but he wasn’t the problem. Leighton was fine in relief.
My picks for 3 stars:
★★★ Jamie Benn, LW, DAL (2 A)
★★ Colton Sceviour, C, DAL (1 G, 1 A)
★ Vernon Fiddler, C, DAL (2 G)
