The Lightning Still Can’t Get One Past Crow – Your Weekly Blackhawks Recap
- Updated: October 27, 2015
(Week of 10/18 – 10/24)
The Hawks went 2-0 on the week, defeating both the Panthers and Lightning at home.
Notes
Forwards: Bickell was a healthy scratch in both games. I’m not sure why. Q said he looked ordinary in the last game he played. He has been when playing with any line but the top one, but the again, the same can pretty much be said about Tikhonov, who occupied the lottery spot quite a bit this week. Rookie Vinnie Hinostroza looked okay in these two, but I’m not sure I wouldn’t replace him on the NHL roster with Tanner Kero and take a look at him.
Defensemen: They’ve been okay. They definitely miss Duncan Keith, but 21-shot shutouts don’t happen without great defense being played. Rundblad is at least contributing on offense. On defense, he’s still David Rundblad. I’d call someone up from Rockford.
Goalies: Crawford was good against Florida and great against Tampa Bay. He now has not allowed a goal against the Lightning in the last 149:24 he’s played against them.
Blackhawks 3 stars of the week:
★★★ Corey Crawford, G (.949 SV%, 1.00 GAA, 1 SO)
★★ Brent Seabrook, D (1 G, 3 A)
★ Patrick Kane, RW (1 G (GWG), 3 A)
