The Blackhawks outplayed the Blues in this one, but Brian Elliott turned in another excellent performance and kept his team in it long enough for them to find the back of the net enough to get the win. The Hawks had their chances, but were unable to score during 5-on-5 play. They wasted too many power play opportunities. Rozsival was a pretty big liability. Someone else has to be in for game 4. Turbo needs to get more aggressive. Some consistency with his line mates would probably help. Crawford wasn’t as good as he needed to be. The first goal wasn’t really his fault and the same can be said for the third. But that second goal just cannot go in. Like, come on, man, that was from the blue line. I know it went off Rozsival’s leg, but you’ve got to stop that. Shots like that can’t go in and they double can’t go in in the playoffs.

My picks for 3 stars:

★★★ Artemi Panarin, LW, CHI (1 A)

★★ Jaden Schwartz, LW, STL (1 G (GWG))

★ Brian Elliott, G, STL (44 SV, 2 GA)
