Somebody other than Kane needs to do something. The rest of the second line was fine. Toews got himself a few good looks that didn’t go. The rest of the forwards were just kind of there. The defense was okay, other than on the Suter goal where Crawford made a great sprawling save and everybody skated back lackadaisically and let Minnesota get the rebound. It’s a shame because Crawford had a great game. Neither goal was really his fault, especially the second, which could have been prevented altogether if anybody had hustled.
My picks for 3 stars:
★★★ Patrick Kane, RW, CHI (1 G)
★★ Mikael Granlund, C, MIN (2 A)
★ Ryan Suter, D, MIN (1 G (GWG))
