After a couple nice games by the Blackhawks, this was a really disappointing effort. Brent Seabrook was out with an illness and then Duncan Keith took a brainless, dangerous match penalty, and the defense went pretty much the way you’d expect. The offense didn’t do much of note. The only goal by the Hawks came on a shorthanded play. The power play continued to be atrocious. Scott Darling was the only bright spot in this one. Neither the scoreboard nor the score sheet will show it, but he turned in an excellent performance that was undone by the garbage in front of him.
My picks for 3 stars:
★★★ Jarrett Stoll, C, MIN (1 G)
★★ Jared Spurgeon, D, MIN (1 G (GWG))
★ Erik Haula, C, MIN (1 G, 1 A)
