CFB Picks: 2022 Week 3
- Updated: September 15, 2022
Last week: 3-2, Season: 4-5
Lines for this week’s CFB picks are from FanDuel and will continue to be until a sportsbook wants to give us money to plug them. FanDuel isn’t giving us any money, but we used DraftKings last year and they didn’t give us any money, either, so now it’s FanDuel’s turn. Really, you should shop around for the best lines and prices. We’re using FanDuel here for the sake of consistency.
Western Kentucky +6.5 @ Indiana
S&P+ likes Western Kentucky to win this one outright. I do, too. If you’re not adventurous enough to bet the moneyline on this one, 6.5 is a pretty generous spread.
Ole Miss -16.5 @ Georgia Tech
This will be the best team Ole Miss has played thus far, but that isn’t saying much. S&P+ likes Ole Miss by 27.5. Lane Kiffin and company cover this spread.
Lousiana-Lafayette -12.5 @ Rice
The last of my S&P+ inspired plays, Bill C.’s system likes the Ragin’ Cajuns by 18.6. This line has gone up in the last couple days. Maybe there are more S&P+ disciples out there. Your author does not believe in Rice and while Billy Napier may have moved on to swampier pastures, there’s still enough there for the Cajuns to cover.
Nevada +23.5 @ Iowa
This one’s simple. I don’t think Iowa can score enough to cover this. I know Nevada just got done losing to Incarnate Word, but Iowa’s offense is historically dreadful.
Iowa’s offense is not just embarrassingly bad, it’s on pace to be NCAA historically record-setting bad

Oklahoma -10.5 @ Nebraska
Scott Frost was a total doofus and I have no doubts his doofusery had a hand in Nebraska’s woes. However, him finally getting canned does not all of a sudden make this a good football team. These are still his guys and they’re just not very good. Sooners roll in my CFB best bet of the week.
