Usain Bolt: Road to Rio- Rumblin Stumblin Bumblin Bolt

The world’s fastest man stumbled out of the block and still posted a season high in the 100m dash during this past weekend’s highly anticipated Racer’s Grand Prix. Check it out above.

The results were as follows:

1. Bolt Usain, 9.88
2. Ashmeade Nickel, 9.94
3. Blake Yohan, 9.94
4. Powell Asafa, 9.98
5. Bailey-Cole Kemar, 10.00
6. Simbine Akani, 10.01
7. Gittens Ramon, 10.03
8. Frater Michael, 10.04

Asafa Powell got off to a great start as Bolt tripped up a few times before accelerating to the front. It is so exciting watching Usain when he is up to top speed and it appears, as always, that he let up after knowing he would be the victor. Only France’s Jimmy Vicaut, who ran 9.86sec (a European record,) has gone faster in 2016.

We will be continuing to keep an eye on Mr. Lightening Bolt as his road to gold in Rio continues. Next up for Bolt, the Jamaican Olympic Trials on June 30. We are also carefully monitoring if he may be stripped of relay medals due to positive drug tests from countryman Nesta Carter. This is still developing so we won’t touch it just yet.
