- Updated: August 15, 2016
Usain Bolt was the heavy favorite to win it all at tonight’s Men’s 100m in Rio. However, what came after his semi-final round victory was the beginning of a great night for serious and casual fans of Track and Field alike. Here are a few tweets which made us all laugh.

Bolt won the semi-final in a respectable 9.86. The final was next and set the stage for he and supposed rival Justin Gatlin to meet once again and compete for Olympic gold. Gatlin appeared to have had a lead over Bolt early on in the race. However, Bolt had other plans, and won the 100m for the third time in a row to check off the first of three goals of Bolt’s Olympic swan song."why y'all running?"

Gatlin finished in 2nd while Andre DeGasse of Canada, featured in many of the above memes, finished 3rd. Highly heralded sprinter Yohan Blake, also of Jamaica, finished 4th, a disappointment after finishing 2nd in London 2012. Next up for Bolt is the 200m on Tuesday. Bolt will seek to win his third consecutive gold in the 200m as well as seek to challenge his own World Record of 19.19.Usain Bolt wins the 100m final #Rio2016 #Olympics 👏👏👏 pic.twitter.com/M1cFugs0yE
