Kentucky 74, Duke 63 – Recap
- Updated: November 19, 2015

In an early season top 5 showdown, Kentucky got the best of Duke in what was pretty much a mismatch from the start. Kentucky’s guards ate up Duke’s all night. Duke had no answer for sophomore guard Tyler Ulis, who finished with 18 points and 6 assists. UK scored 17 points off of 16 Duke turnovers and won the fastbreak battle 18-4. That is pretty hard to overcome. Ulis, Murray, and Briscoe may have dominated Duke’s backcourt, but I was pleased with the way Jefferson and Plumlee handled UK’s bigs. Duke fans on Twitter seem to think the sky is falling after 1 ugly loss, but in fact they were just beaten by a (currently) much better team. Duke is counting on a lot of freshmen this year, so it’s going to take time for it all to come together. Up next for Duke is a matchup against VCU this Friday. I’m looking forward to see how this young team rebounds from this loss.
