CUBS PREVIEW GAME 3

The Cubs’ bats woke up and their pitching ended the game. Now the series shifts to Chicago, where the World Series has not been played since 1945. Tired of hearing the numbers and tired of hearing useless stats – it is about the guys currently on the field. History will be made no matter who wins. The Cubs have home-field advantage now after the split. Kluber is going to start exactly how many games. On paper Cubs are better but that means absolutely nothing. Schwarber came out of nowhere and didn’t miss a beat, but he wont play in the field for 3 games. With Heyward playing golf and Soler just wasting talent, the Cubs could use another bat in the outfield. They have been doing it so far with holes in the lineup waiting for a slump-buster type hit. Montero hit the grand-slam against the Dodgers or Jake’s homerun against the “unbeatable Mad-Bum.” Not to mention Baez solo shot that won a game. The Cubs have been able to get some clutch hits even when they strand 84 men on base a game. You wont knock them all in but clutch one. Cubs have to get a lead and protect it. The comeback game is too much for Cubs’ fan’s hearts. When you dealing with a team with a corny outdated nickname of “lovable losers” then nothing is never safe. Even with a 5 run lead in the 7^th you’ll still thinking like can these guys do it. The only way to change perception is to actually do it. Red Sox went from just a storied franchise that could never win to “championship pedigree.” Use the crowd to your advantage makes them nervous as and do not choke, and remember it is still another 5 possible games. Those guys getting paid a lot and want to get paid a lot actually earn your money this is the time to do it. I assume Hendricks will pitch well, the Cubs will work some counts and get a run or two and the bullpen finish the game.
