The Hawks went 3-1 on the week, beating the Predators and Jets twice at home and losing in Nashville.

Notes

Forwards: Kane’s point streak is at 25 after this week. The other lines have gotten going. Turbo had a very nice week; he seems to be developing some chemistry with Toews and Hossa. Gee, who would have thought? Dano’s back in Rockford. I would prefer him playing in Chicago, but if Q doesn’t see a spot in the lineup for him every night, playing in Rockford is greatly preferable to being a healthy scratch in Chicago. The third line was really solid this week; Bickell, Rasmussen, and Shaw all played good hockey.

Defensemen: Daley was more involved in the offense. (By the time I wrote this, he had been traded to Pittsburgh.) TvR looks like he’s really established himself as a top 4 defenseman for the team.

Goalies: Both Crawford and Darling were excellent. It doesn’t look like Darling was excellent because the team in front of him had an awful game in his only start of the week and gave Nashville a ton of great chances, especially in the first, and they were able to jump out to a 3-0 lead. I wouldn’t say any of those first-period goals were Darling’s fault. He made quite a few great saves in that period, and if he hadn’t been so good, it could have been 6-0 after the first.

Blackhawks 3 stars of the week:

★★★ Teuvo Teräväinen, F (2 G, 2 A)

★★ Corey Crawford, G (.976 SV%, 0.67 GAA, 1 SO)

★ Patrick Kane, RW (3 G, 1 A)
