Not Great, Bob – Your Weekly Blackhawks Recap
- Updated: December 7, 2015
(Week of 11/29 – 12/5)
The Hawks went 0-1-1 on the week, losing in regulation at home to Minnesota then in overtime in Ottawa.
Notes
Forwards: Kane’s point streak continues. He’s been great. Other guys, well, let me refer you to the title of this blog. Turbo was at 1LW against the Senators. I’d put Dano there and Turbo with Kruger, but if Q likes Turbo at 1LW, that’s fine. Just leave him there. Players need to develop chemistry with one another and it’s hard for Turbo to do that when he’s bouncing all over the place. And it doesn’t help Toews and Hossa to constantly be putting them with new people. They’ve both been good, especially Toews, but neither has played as well as they can and I have to believe that playing with different guys all the time has something to do with that.
Defensemen: Fine. Daley’s coming into his own offensively, but still hasn’t scored.
Goalies: Crawford was great against Minnesota and not great but also not the problem against Ottawa. None of the goals were really his fault, but it would have been nice to see him come up clutch there.
Blackhawks 3 stars of the week:
★★★ Artemi Panarin, LW (1 G, 2 A)
★★ Duncan Keith, D (2 A)
★ Patrick Kane, RW (2 G, 2 A)
